 Thoughts and feelings

Nyx was walking down the corridors. It was well past the last lessons of the day, and the halls were not so crowded. That was mostly due to the fact that it was supper time and most of the school went off to eat in the Great Hall. Nyx never went to dinner. She only ever ate when it was quiet, otherwise she snuck down to the kitchens. She was just passing one of the un-used classrooms when she began to think. . .

One of her best friends, and her cousin, had recently started dating a friend of theirs. Marie was a very nice person, and her and Jeff were great together. They liked the same music, and they're in a band. . .Well kind of. Her brother didn't want any female vocals, for fear of sounding like Evanescence. . .

The only problem was that Nyx was feeling left out, although she did well to hide it. Jeff seemed too wrapped up in current things to notice Nyx's gradual oncome of silence. Nyx wasn't sure what to make of these feelings. It was either that she was jealous of his ability to find someone he liked, or her inner hatred of her inability to find anyone.

She, having her art notebook with her, began to draw abstracts. It was the only way she could get the loathful feelings out of her system. And no one would ever be able to figure out what they meant. . . other than her of course.

She then heard footsteps. It was much too early for anyone to have finished their dinner. . . She just sat there, trying not to draw attention to herself.
